From EDC to Everyday Essential
It all began on a bustling Super Bowl weekend in 2022. Amidst the excitement and chaos, I experienced one of the most frustrating mishaps: my phone was stolen. As if that wasn't stressful enough, I was just weeks away from attending my first Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). I had meticulously custom-made most of my outfits for the event and was now plagued with the worry of losing my phone again amidst the energetic festival crowd.
In a bid to find a solution, a friend introduced me to phone straps with adhesive tabs. Unfortunately, these straps resembled nothing more than glorified shoe strings – far from the stylish accessory I had envisioned to complement my festival outfits. That's when inspiration struck. Armed with leftover materials from my EDC outfits, I decided to create my own phone straps. These weren't just any straps; they were fashionable, durable, and perfectly in sync with the vibrant festival atmosphere.
I made enough for our entire EDC group, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Not only did the straps keep our phones secure, but they also added a unique, stylish touch to our outfits. This small project ignited a bigger idea: why not create a brand dedicated to fashionable, functional phone straps?
From that moment on, I embarked on a journey to build Linq'd. Every product was tested in real-life scenarios, from music festivals to everyday use, ensuring they met the highest standards of quality and style. After months of designing, refining, and perfecting, Linq'd officially launched in February 2024.
